Executive overview

Classification: Internal · Version: 1.0 · Audience: Leadership, sponsors · Primary focus: Infrastructure & program alignment

This is the main program document for the VST UI mockups initiative. It frames hosting, delivery model, and governance. Technical depth for engineering leadership is in the Software engineering requirements specification; product experience detail is in the Design guide.

1. Executive summary

The VST UI mockups program maintains a static, version-controlled design surface published at https://sqazi.sh/vst-ui/, backed by a public Git repository. The objective is to align stakeholders on screen inventory, visual themes, and written specifications without committing to runtime plugin infrastructure in this phase.

2. Strategic objectives

  1. Single canonical URL for mockups and design artifacts (low friction for reviews).
  2. Infrastructure minimalism: static hosting, no application servers, predictable cost.
  3. Traceability: every published view maps to committed HTML/CSS and docs/.
  4. Scalable documentation model (executive → CTO → design) without duplication of truth.

3. Infrastructure & delivery (executive view)

Layer Decision
Source of truth Git repository (main); peer review via standard PR workflow.
Publication Static site generation implied (HTML/CSS/JS only); deployed to user-facing URL.
Public entry https://sqazi.sh/vst-ui/ (canonical); infrastructure path documented for CTO.
Availability Aligned with hosting provider SLA (typically 99.9%+ for static CDN-class services).
Data & PII No user accounts or persistent user data in this surface; low regulatory surface area.

4. Governance

5. Investment & risk (summary)

6. Roadmap (indicative)

  1. Maintain living mockups and three document streams (this overview, software engineering requirements specification, design guide).
  2. Expand mockup set as product definition stabilizes.
  3. Future phase (out of scope here): optional integration with real VST shell or design tokens pipeline.
